Jake found his love for filmmaking at 16 when we moved behind the camera after a decade of acting experience. That excitement quickly expanded into a full-blown love affair and career. From making short films with his friends with a DV tape camera to shooting large-budget commercials, music videos, and short films.
He continues to document his journey on his Youtube channel - the trials and tribulations of being a working artist, the behind-the-scenes of doing different creative projects, and advice to artists who want to make “being creative” a full-time job.

Jake first took a photography class in Middle School where he learned to shoot on a 35mm film camera, developing his own and printing it manually. However, it was not until college in film school that Jake took photography back up and took it seriously. He found his passion in documenting the world around him in his “like a still from a movie” style. From shooting landscapes to street photography, Jake’s photography embodies the motif that “life is a movie” and puts that essence in each one of his photographs.
